Firstly, you do not need to change your username or to re-register – your username is separate from the Logsearch functionality. Awards are issued to the Primary Callsign specified in your profile.

Therefore, you should update your profile to change your Primary Callsign… you should include your old callsign in the Other Callsigns list.
