We’ve finally got to the bottom of the issue we have with email providers such as Gmail, Hotmail and Outlook.
Where a WWFF user has these listed directly in their profile, there is not a problem.
However, if the WWFF user has a redirectable email address (eg @wia.org.au, @darc.de) which is auto-forwarded to the third party provider, then the email is frequently rejected – this is because WWFF email appears to come a server other than WWFF, and is therefore considered as spam. This is not something that we at WWFF have any control over.
The solution is quite simple: please do not specify a forwarder email address in your WWFF profile, but provide the real mailbox address.
But in the meanwhile, please do not complain that you are not receiving WWFF emails…
