Statistical question marks. I wonder how come I have 14851 (#- non-validated) references validated but in Summery Statistics only 14594 and in Top Operators only 13232 references. I can’t get it together
Could there be a problem with the fact that I have 2 callsigns (SM5CBN and SE5B) registered?

    Hi Lennart,

Well logsearch represent the unique total per call or both call together ( combined into the logsearch call window SM5CBN,SE5B) and top operators table per individual call.
So if you combine SM5CBN, SE5B today results 14915 in logsearch
    individual SM5CBN: 13549 and SE5B: 2389 in logsearch
Also Topoperators does not include worked Deleted Areas in the search.
SM5CBN have today 13547. S5B is not in the Top table.

    Hi Luk,

This deleted area issue is a major fault in the system. It has been raised many years ago by us here in VK, but there has been no progress.

Deleted references should count for activator and hunter stats up to the deletion date because the park was valid at the time it was activated or hunted.

This is an issue that should have priority in being fixed.

If you have included your “home call” as the Operator when activating using your special call, they should all show as SM5CBN in Top Operators

    I’ll have a look at your data when I have a moment…

Regarding deleted areas… there are three reasons why a reference is deleted:
    1. It shouldn’t have been a reference in the first place
    2. It has been replaced by another reference
    3. It was a valid reference, but has ceased to be valid

QSOs in (1) should be invalid
QSOs in (2) should be moved to the replacement reference
QSOs in (3) are a problem, I agree.

That is not correct. As I reported from my OHFF-based research this February, the deleted areas ARE included in both activator/hunter totals when looking at the program-wise Top Operators view. However, in other places there appears to be non-alignment regarding how they are handled, as listed below.

    ——————-
Question: Are deleted parks included in the statistics totals?

    Activators
    ——————–
    Program-wise top operators listing: YES
Personal view (OHFF-A in “National awards”): YES
GCR e-mail for award application: YES
    Award application threshold: NO

    Hunters
    ——————–
    Program-wise top operators listing: YES
Personal view (OHFF-H in “National awards”): NO
GCR e-mail for award application: YES
    Award application threshold: ?

    After investigations…

Your interactive search shows the bigger number, as it includes BOTH calls

Top Operators matches on the HunterHomeCall – which is obviously different for the two calls.

I’ve updated your Hunts and this should now show the correct number… at least, after tonight’s run!

I’ve also added the mapping of SE5B->SM5CBN during upload, so future Hunts should be correctly allocated
