OK Stuart. Is there a small message window that appears when you hover over the button you’re expecting to say “Apply for…”? If so, what does it say?

Anyway, I’ll let admin know of the issue.

    Hello Hiro-san,

At https://wwff.co/awards/national-programs/ the JAFF coordinator is JA1JCF (nb-hyaku@nifty.com) and the JAFF log manager is JI2SVL (jaff-log@nifty.com). The JAFF website link seems to be outdated, though, and I’m not sure if there is a more recent one.

Good to hear, Ron. Admin may have fixed it, although I have no word from there. Anyway, main thing is it seems to work!

    Hi Stuart,

Are you sure the next award level is available in Logsearch (i.e., has somebody else been given that award)? There have been problems regarding the implementation of new award levels.

Another issue is this: https://wwff.co/2024/06/approve-apply-for-awards/. But since you are able to apply for other awards, the issue described there might not apply. However, is the situation for Brandon exactly the same as yours (that he is able to apply for other awards, but not VEFF), or is he unable to apply for any awards?

Ron, it appears your issue is part of a larger bug: https://wwff.co/2024/06/approve-apply-for-awards/

When did you first register your account?

Let’s see. One way or another we’ll make sure you get a response ๐Ÿ™‚

BTW forgot to mention: I assume K in the DXCC field is fine.

Ron, I will forward this issue to those who handle Logsearch, it seems something is not working correctly.

OK Ron! When you go to https://wwff.co, don’t press “WWFF Logsearch” at the top.

Instead, go a bit further down to the menu line that has “HOME AGENDA DIRECTORY LOGSEARCH …” and press LOGSEARCH there. Now you should come to the view described in slide 2 behind my link, and can go from there.

Please see the basic Logsearch instructions here: https://wwff.co/rules-faq/how-using-logsearch-and-applying-for-awards/

Are you able to log in and see the view described in slide 3?

Gregor, the map insert on the area-specific pages of the Protected Planet website https://www.protectedplanet.net/en (with the WDPA stuff) appears to crash every now and again, resulting in the behavior you explained.

I have been in contact with UNEP-WCMC who manages the Protected Planet website many times and informed them about the bug. The situation always gets fixed, but it also tends to reoccur, so they appear to have an unresolved bug that resurfaces from time to time.

That is not correct. As I reported from my OHFF-based research this February, the deleted areas ARE included in both activator/hunter totals when looking at the program-wise Top Operators view. However, in other places there appears to be non-alignment regarding how they are handled, as listed below.

    ——————-
Question: Are deleted parks included in the statistics totals?

    Activators
    ——————–
    Program-wise top operators listing: YES
Personal view (OHFF-A in “National awards”): YES
GCR e-mail for award application: YES
    Award application threshold: NO

    Hunters
    ——————–
    Program-wise top operators listing: YES
Personal view (OHFF-H in “National awards”): NO
GCR e-mail for award application: YES
    Award application threshold: ?

I did some research on this for an OHFF-related issue in February and reported this to Logsearch admin.

There is some non-alignment, as detailed below.
