I’ve found two references that appear to have identical boundaries: EAFF-0046, Parque Natural Somiedo and EAFF-0052, Área de Reserva de la Biosfera Somiedo. If they are, indeed, geographically identical, it would seem that WWFF rules section 3.6 “References contained within another reference area,” would not apply. If I set up within the shared boundaries, could I activate both references by making 88 contacts, logging the first 44 contacts in the first reference and the remaining 44 contacts in the second reference?

    Hi John,

Duplicate areas should not exist, so I’ve e-mailed the EAFF manager Estela EA4DE/CX3ACS and asked her to take a look at this case.

    Hola Jhon,
    Hola Kim,

Sorry for the delay, I’m usually quite busy in August.

The municipality of Somiedo is home to the Somiedo Natural Park, which was recognized in 1988.
It also has SCI and SPA protection status.
Then, in 2000, UNESCO declared it a Biosphere Reserve.

    Un saludo
    44s!
