P.S. You may note that the total number of QSOs from August is now about 147k; that’s mainly because the SPFF log manager uploaded a lot of August logs after the activity month extract (with about 130k QSOs) was taken. Also, I’ve excluded the CY9C log in this draft, so that the monthly statistics aren’t skewed but instead more comparable to “normal” months.
If you want to see the graphes more in details, click right, select open picture in NEW tab. Next you can see the graphes full page.

The results of the WWFF activity month are in. A lot of activators shared that it was a challenging month this time with the active sun creating storm conditions regularly. We are pleased to see that this did not keep the activators indoors with 466 activators logging more than 130k QSOs from more than 1300 references worldwide.
All this activity resulted in 1250 hunter awards (22+ references) with 16 hunters reaching 6 star level. We are also happy to hand out 198 activator awards with 29 activators reaching the 1k QSO level. Well done to all!
Awards can be downloaded by entering your call at the bottom of this page: https://wwff.co/awards/wwff-anniversary-awards/

Update 2024-07-21
Despite updating WordPress to the new version, and updating the plugin, the problem still exists…
As an interim, I temporarily disabled the guilty plugin, and manually ran the Apply for Awards script – which means many of our newer members now have the Apply for Awards privilege! If your account still doesn’t have the privilege, please check your profile to ensure that your name, primary callsign, continent and home DXCC are populated.
I will endeavour to run a manual update on a weekly-ish basis, until a more permanent fix can be found…
—
For reasons that I have not yet determined, one of the plugins required for this site is causing a failure in the overnight “batch” job that generates the Reference Statistics and Top Operators content. Amongst other things, this batch job also monitors registrations, and controls the Apply for Awards site privilege that allows users to (surprisingly enough) apply for awards.
The work-around involves disabling much of WordPress’s functionality during the batch jobs… however this means that the Apply for Awards task doesn’t work! This means that, for the time being, new users will not be able to apply for any awards.
This is (in my opinion) the lessor of two evils, as many users refer to the statistics…
Please bear with me, while I try and work out a better fix…
