in≈ Comments Off on Announcing the “Meet the WWFF’ers” post series
Many callsigns familiar to WWFF’ers are heard activating and hunting on the bands daily. Likewise, WWFF national program volunteers keep the local wheels turning and churn out new ideas to develop their programs.
We would like to do a series of brief WWFF blog & Facebook posts that help us get to know each other better, and that enable the sharing of ideas between individuals and national programs. Posts such as “Meet Karl, DL1ABC”, or “Meet the Canadians: VEFF”.
==> We are now looking for one or more volunteer “editors” to manage this recurring post series (for example once a week). As a foundation, we plan to have a battery of questions that can be distributed to selected individuals/programs so as to help in composing the brief posts.
Interested?? Please e-mail OH6KZP at kim.ostman@gmail.com. Thanks!

The WWFF stats for April 2025 are in! To make them more comparable with other months, I’ve here removed some 50k QSOs made by the large HD8G DX-pedition (HCFF-0004).
Most numbers are slightly down from March, although there were more national programs QRV. We are now heading into the northern hemisphere’s summer months, and the associated band condition changes may lead to funky effects in the bandwise breakdown.
Don’t forget to take a look at the WWFF 2025 Marathon stats too. They provide fun full-year and monthly (from the drop-down menu on the top left) breakdowns from several points of view: https://wwff.co/marathon-standings/

Spotline, WWFF’s new Spots & Agenda service, is coming soon. It will replace the current WWFF Cluster and Agenda, with the plan being to have it up and running on June 1st, 2025.
Among other things, Spotline features a telnet server that mimics DXSpider. This means that you can connect to “Spotline” as a cluster node to receive WWFF spots into your favorite logging program.
Steps are also under way to integrate Spotline with HamAlert, PoLo, and Port-A-Log. Stay tuned!
