Another month is gone, and the June WWFF statistics are out! Steady going, with 5 national programs (KFF, SPFF, VKFF, VEFF, OHFF) exceeding 10,000 QSOs.
It’s summer in the northern hemisphere, so the numbers from 6m and up are interesting. A slight increase in 6m QSOs in June as compared to April/May; here are the numbers for April-June for your reference.
WWFF stats now in for May, after a one-month wait for log uploads. Similar activity levels as in April.
There was a comment last time by Rumen LZ2AF about QSO numbers on 6m/VHF/UHF being interesting for the summer months, due to the presence of sporadic-E conditions (6m -> 2m).
So in preparation for June/July/August, here are the numbers for April and May as comparison:
WWFF Team would like to invite all WWFF Activators and Hunters to participate in
“The WWFF August ActivityMonth”.
The activity event will start at 00:00 UTC on August 1st and finish at 23:59 UTC on August 31st.
WWFF Activators are invited to be active from WWFF areas as much as possible.
A big opportunity for our hunters to work new WWFF areas and increase their score.
We recommend all Activators to use the WWFF Agenda and the WWFF Facebook Group to inform the WWFF Hunter community of their plans.
After each activity the Activators have to send in their logs to the log manager responsible for the areas they activated.
The deadline for sending in logs to count towards this special event is September 21st.
To facilitate the special award processing we ask the activators – especially when using vanity /special event calls or group calls – to make sure the operator field in their logs is populated with their home callsign.
The log uploaders then have untill September 21tha to check and upload the logs. By September 30th we will start generating the awards and rank lists based on the available data in WWFF LogSearch.
Participation Awards
On September 30th WWFF will publish awards for Activators and Hunters.
ACTIVATOR PARTICIPATION AWARD
For activating WWFF references during “The WWFF August Activity Month “ Activators should accumulate at least 220 QSOs. An extra award is available when an activator makes 1000+ QSOs from valid WWFF reference(s).

HUNTER AWARDS
For hunting WWFF references during The WWFF August Activity MonthHunters should accumulate at least 22 references. After that base level, the first star is at 44 references with a new star for each 44 references more.

Each QSO counts towards this special award, except for dupes on same day/same band/same mode/same reference – otherwise hunt them as much as you can!
Our annual PYFF event AUGUST IN THE PARKS WWFF 2025. We would like to invite you to join this activity with all WWFF Activators and Hunters in your country.
The activity event will start at 00:01 UTC on August 1st and will end at 23:59 UTC on August 31st.
WWFF Activators are invited to participate in as many WWFF areas as possible. A great opportunity for our hunters to work in new WWFF areas and increase their score. It will be an excellent opportunity to have the participation of several nations with WWFF references. We are counting on your presence.
The WWFF stats for April 2025 are in! To make them more comparable with other months, I’ve here removed some 50k QSOs made by the large HD8G DX-pedition (HCFF-0004).
Most numbers are slightly down from March, although there were more national programs QRV. We are now heading into the northern hemisphere’s summer months, and the associated band condition changes may lead to funky effects in the bandwise breakdown.
Don’t forget to take a look at the WWFF 2025 Marathon stats too. They provide fun full-year and monthly (from the drop-down menu on the top left) breakdowns from several points of view: https://wwff.co/marathon-standings/
Spotline, WWFF’s new Spots & Agenda service, is coming soon. It will replace the current WWFF Cluster and Agenda, with the plan being to have it up and running on June 1st, 2025.
Among other things, Spotline features a telnet server that mimics DXSpider. This means that you can connect to “Spotline” as a cluster node to receive WWFF spots into your favorite logging program.
Steps are also under way to integrate Spotline with HamAlert, PoLo, and Port-A-Log. Stay tuned!
