Get Your Park ON! Mosquito Madness

Get your Park ON! Mosquito Madness, will occur June 19-20, 2021 in celebration the advent of Summer. The event is open to all WWFF Activators and Hunters and is sponsored by the U.S. (KFF) affiliate of World Wide Flora and Fauna (WWFF).

The GYPO Mosquito Madness will be an International event inviting all Activators through the world to participate. Hunters everywhere are invited to search out and contact Activators everywhere, making this truly a worldwide, DX event.

Get Your Park ON! Mosquito Madness will start June 19 at 0000 UTC and run through June 20at 2359 UTC.

This event will include Get Your Park ON! Mosquito Madness Event Stations (GYPO SES). These stations will be active from KFF parks throughout the weekend operating with 1×1 callsigns, e.g., N5G. Hunters are encouraged to work as many of these Special Event Stations as possible, with special recognition given to those working five or more.

A complete list of the Special Event Stations will be provided at the start of GYPO Mosquito Madness. Their operating plans and schedules will be posted on their individual QRZ pages.

ACHIEVEMENT CERTIFICATES: A special achievement certificate will be available for all Hunters working at least 10 different WWFF References and to Activators with successful activations (44 QSOs) from at least 2 different WWFF References. And as is normally permitted, multiple visits can be made to reach 44 QSOs for a successful activation. A special endorsement will be available for those working at least 5 Special Event Stations. Request a certificate by email to n9mm@arrl.net

GreenParty 2021

Hi

GreenParty is in its 10th edition. This year 5-6 June. The rules are at: http://wff-yo.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_3.html

I would like to remind you that this activity is open to all those involved in FF activities, both activators and hunters. In recent years, comments have been made that this activity belongs to Europeans. Unfortunately, it seems that it has not been understood that the regulation is made in such a way that any other continent can participate. There are no multipliers that favor one participant or another depending on the continent they are on. Everything is done so that everyone can be satisfied. I invite in this way those from Oceania, North and South America, Asia and Africa to try to be present.

Log Corrections

A reminder that the Log Corrections forum is to request corrections to logs!

Please DO NOT simply request that a log is deleted… please specify what needs correcting.

Once a log has been uploaded, lots of processing goes on behind the scenes (eg calculation of Top Operators, verifying Park-to-Parks, activations stats etc) and deleting a log can cause these to go wrong.

We can correct any mistakes (whether a typo in a callsign or reference, or logging mistakes) and can flag individual or multiple QSOs as invalid… mistakes happen, and we understand that.

The only reason an entire log should need deleting (as opposed to correcting) is if it should never have been uploaded in the first place…

But this should also act as a reminder to Activators to check their logs before submission, and for Log Uploaders to check and validate logs before uploading.
