On Wednesday 1st February 2017 I activated the Para Wirra Conservation Park VKFF-1739. Para Wirra meaning ‘river forest’ in the local Kaurna aboriginal language is 1,507 hectares in size and is situated north east of Adelaide. I made a total of 45 contacts on 80, 40, 20 & 15m SSB.

Today’s activation was very successful. I worked only on 7MHz with short dipole with twin-lid G5RV (“Black Mamba” hi, hi) did 240 QSO about 2 hours and my friend YU1JF Pedja worked with GP antenna of a fishing rod and 4 radials only 14 mhz and did it for the same time over 130 QSO. Continue reading

For those of you that live in, or frequent, Florida, you already know this, but for the rest of you out there, Alligator Alley is the nickname that is given to the stretch of Route 75 that runs through the Everglades and Big Cypress Nature Preserve. So why name a blog post after a highway? The simple answer is – because I activated it!

The OMFF Slovak division of WWFF is proud to announce their OMFF Award Program.
Awards will be granted for 10-30-50-100-300-500 worked/activated OMFF references.
So far only the OMFF-10 awards are available in WWFF LogSearch. Higher levels will become active in the next weeks.
