KFF and WWFF

Last week the team of POTA/KFF decided that they want to run an award program independent of WWFF.

We regret this decision. However we will remain a global program accepting logs from activators that follow the WWFF rules, wherever you are. If your DXCC is covered by one of the 50 local programs that co-operate with WWFF, you should send your log to the national representative. Otherwise you can send your log directly to the WWFF log manager (logs@wff-dl.de).

At the moment activators of KFF references that want to work towards WWFF awards – or want give their chasers a chance to get points towards WWFF awards – will have to send their logs to the WWFF log manager.

If you are an FF enhusiast in the USA and want to represent KFF within WWFF, contact us at pr@wwff.co

Did you know ? #03 Changing and different callsigns

In your PROFILE :

1. Your USERNAME can never be changed. It’s only a name for your registration. The callsign on awards, toplists etc is not defined by this USERNAME

2. The PRIMARY callsign is the one used for all awards applying, toplists etc. Here you fill in the callsign you’re using most often, the one you like to see displayed on awards etc

3. The field “Other callsigns” is for your previous callsigns or extra callsigns still in use (like vanity calls etc)

3. For  the countings ALL callsigns listed in PRIMARY and OTHER CALLSIGN fields are grouped. The total score is set on the PRIMARY CALLSIGN.

New WWFF AGENDA tool

A new AGENDA tool is installed on WWFF web. (with big thanks to GMA  DL4MFM Mario H. Fietz ). Entering your upcoming activation is simplified a lot. It’s running fully automaticly, minutes after you add your info it will display in the AGENDA. Hope you like it and most of all you gonna use it !

Abuse of WWFF reference numbering

WWFF is aware of the abuse of the WWFF reference numbering. In some countries a parallel program is setup using the WWFF numbering, even adding reference numbers that are NOT WWFF valid !

As a reminder, the valid WWFF references are in The WWFF directory. If you doubt about a reference, just check the directory. The code behind the WWFF directory is changed in that way that it’s real time up-to-date.

Changes within GxFF

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Carl 2E0HPI as the new GxFF Coordinator, replacing Andrew M0YMA.

Thank you Carl for taking on this role.

The GxFF program covers:

  • the United Kingdom (G, GI, GM and GW)
  • the Crown Dependencies (GD, GJ and GU)
  • the British Overseas Territories (VP2, VP5, VP6, VP8, VP9, ZB2, ZD and ZF).

Carl, together with Adie M0PAI, have a number of ideas for developing the GxFF program, and a refreshed GxFF website will be launched in due course.
