On Fri 3rd Feb 2017, whilst away on holidays I activated the Creswick Regional Park VKFF-0964 which is located in Victoria.
Unfortunately I only had a very short time in the park and made a total of 32 contacts around Australia and into New Zealand.

On Wednesday 1st February 2017 I activated the Para Wirra Conservation Park VKFF-1739. Para Wirra meaning ‘river forest’ in the local Kaurna aboriginal language is 1,507 hectares in size and is situated north east of Adelaide. I made a total of 45 contacts on 80, 40, 20 & 15m SSB.

Today’s activation was very successful. I worked only on 7MHz with short dipole with twin-lid G5RV (“Black Mamba” hi, hi) did 240 QSO about 2 hours and my friend YU1JF Pedja worked with GP antenna of a fishing rod and 4 radials only 14 mhz and did it for the same time over 130 QSO. Continue reading

For those of you that live in, or frequent, Florida, you already know this, but for the rest of you out there, Alligator Alley is the nickname that is given to the stretch of Route 75 that runs through the Everglades and Big Cypress Nature Preserve.
